B is for Bonking

As always, I apologize for the lateness of this post. I've had the hardest time finding Internet access, and the one time I tried to post something, it got completely deleted.

We traveled into Ohio the next day after my last post. I was (obviously) VERY excited to be crossing into my home state, and all I wanted was a picture of the "Welcome to Ohio" sign, since I had missed the WV one when I went home for a weekend. Of course, the sign was very inconveniently placed in the middle of a busy bridge, so I wasn't able to get the picture...really, Ohio?!

Since then (again, sorry this is so late) we've also crossed into Indiana and Illinois yesterday!

Memorable moments:
Leaving the foothills of WV and Ohio for some [FINALLY] flatter roads
Holding a bike clinic for little kids at a church in Terre Haute, IN
Build Day in Cincinnati, OH
Karaoke at a bar in Cincinnati, and watching the Mavs beat the Heat with Zane!
Exploring IU's campus in Bloomington
"Narding" (Napping Hard) after eating breakfast in the booths at a Denny's during a thunderstorm
Making a Bike and Build Alphabet out of chalk on a long, boring Illinois road for the other riders behind us to see (A is for affordable housing...R is for road kill, T is for tan lines, etc.)
Catholic Church with Abby tonight in Greenville, IL

Still loving the group I'm with--they are all incredible! I love riding with different people. Also, we've started pacelining on long, flat stretches of road--basically when we ride in a straight, tight line, with the first person "pulling" and working really hard against the wind in the front, as the people behind draft off of them and conserve energy. Then after a mile, the front person pulls out and another person takes the lead over (kind of like a reverse Indian Run). Very efficient and I've enjoyed it thus far! However, I'm not sure my 5'2" frame does much for bigger people behind me.

I'll try to put up some pictures on here or Facebook soon! Also, I've tried to enable comments on here for any user, but I'm having trouble, so if you know how to fix that, shoot me a text!

More soon! Love you all!
